Configuring eduroam - Windows 7
From the Control Panel open the Network and Sharing Center. Here click on Set up a new connection or network option.

When asked to choose a connection option select Manually connect to a wireless network.
In the Manually connect to a wireless network window for Network name type eduroam, also set:
- Security type to WPA2-Enterprise
- Encryption type to AES
After this click the Next button.
Select the Change connection settings from under Successfully added eduroam.
On the Connection tab check the Connect automatically when this network is in range option.
Then select the Security tab.
From the drop-down list for Choose a network authentication method choose Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP).
Click on the Settings button.
Check the Validate server certificate option. Also from the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list select the AddTrusted External CA Root.
From the Select Authentication Method drop-down list select Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2).
Make sure that the Enable Fast Reconnect checkbox is checked and click on the Configure… button.
Uncheck the box next to Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) then click the OK button.
Then click OK to close the Protected EAP Properties window.
In the eduroam Wireless Network Properties window click the Advanced settings button.
On the 802.1X settings tab, under Specify authentication mode, from the drop-down list select User authentication then click OK.
Close the eduroam Wireless Network Properties window by clicking on the OK button.
After this click the Close button to close the Manually connect to a wireless network window.
